Getting started

Install one plugin, free or Pro, and find everything in the Kinetic tab. About five minutes.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later.
  • Beaver Builder Lite or Pro (2.x). Beaver Themer is optional and supported.
  • Kinetic Modules Pro is self-contained and does not need the free plugin.

1. Install the free plugin

Skip this step if you have Pro: Pro already includes everything in the free plugin.

  1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for Kinetic Modules. (Until the WordPress.org listing is live, download the free plugin and upload the zip with Upload Plugin.)
  2. Click Install Now, then Activate.

2. Or install Kinetic Modules Pro

Install Kinetic Modules Pro only. It is one self-contained plugin with everything in free plus all Pro features, so you do not need the free plugin.

  1. Download kinetic-modules-pro.zip from your account after purchase.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and activate it.
  3. Enter your licence key when asked. (Licensing by Freemius at launch.)

Already have the free plugin installed? Pro takes over: when you activate Pro it deactivates the free plugin automatically and shows a short notice. Your settings and layouts stay as they are, and you can delete the free plugin.

Placeholder: account, download and licence steps will be finalised with the Freemius setup.

3. Find the Kinetic tab

Open any page in Beaver Builder. Click a row, column or module to open its settings: next to Style and Advanced there is a Kinetic tab.

  • Every element: Scroll Effects (free); Mouse Effects, Stagger & Easing, Sticky, Magnetic & Cursor (Pro).
  • Rows (Pro): Full-page Section, Horizontal Scroll, Stacking Cards, Split-screen Scroll, Header behaviour.
  • Heading, Text Editor, Button, Callout, CTA (Pro): Text Reveal.

4. Add a module

In the module panel, open the Kinetic Modules group and drag a module onto the page: Marquee, Reading Progress Bar, Text Reveal, Row Slider and SVG Path Draw (free); Lottie, Scroll Image Sequence, Scroll Video, Before & After Scroll Wipe and Parallax Layer Hero (Pro).

Each module has a demo page with the settings it uses. Browse the demos.

5. Settings and switches

Go to Settings → Kinetic Modules to switch any module or extension off. Switched-off features load nothing on the front end. The custom cursor and the preloader are site-wide and off by default; turn them on and style them on the same screen.

Reduced motion

When a visitor has reduce motion turned on, Kinetic effects show their final state: pinned scroll stories become normal sections, the wipe becomes a drag slider, and marquees and sliders stop moving on their own. You can also skip Beaver Builder's own entrance animations for these visitors in the settings.

Troubleshooting

I can't see the Kinetic tab

Check that Kinetic Modules (free) or Kinetic Modules Pro is active and the feature is switched on in Settings → Kinetic Modules. Clear the Beaver Builder cache (Settings → Beaver Builder → Tools).

An effect does not run while editing

Pinned and scroll-linked effects show a simple preview in the editor so the layout stays easy to edit. Preview or view the page to see them run.

Effects run on desktop but not on my phone

Many effects have a Devices setting; pinned effects default to desktop and tablet so phones get a lighter layout.
